A Roast & Toast to 2017

Some years are marked with extreme highs or lows, while others are recalled only in a blur. 2017 seems to be one that many, including ourselves, are ready to bid adieu to. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. And, that's worth celebrating, isn't it? Because we're all leaving 2017 better than we started and we have you all to count as friends now, we felt it's only appropriate to march into the new year with open hearts.

As you begin burning some of your wishes for the new year, you'll find it's empowering to declare the hopes aloud (ahem I'm really going to get healthy this year) just as it's therapeutic to burn the negatives. If you're looking for an intimate way to ring in the new year or are in need of letting go, or detoxing, we couldn't recommend this more.

Roasting & Toasting is a tradition my best friend and I have done for the past couple of years as a way of letting go of what holds us back and putting our hopes into the universe. It's simple. Grab some girlfriends, create a bonfire, a s'mores board if you wish, pour some whiskey, and write a few thoughts on pieces of paper. It definitely helps to have a backyard but a simple lighter or matches would work just as well!

It's been a wild first couple of months here at Tres Américain. Thank you all for joining us and being a part of this growing community. We're going to take the next week or so to recover from the holidays, but then we'll be back at it mapping out thoughtful and fresh content for the new year. If you have any feedback at all, whether it's what you'd like to see more or less of, or any thoughts in general, please feel free to leave a comment below or shoot us an email tresamericain@gmail.com. We'd love to hear your thoughts. Until then, have a wonderful New Year!
